Pioneer Tank V Front Runner RT Tank B

An interesting little remark here is that the Front Runner tanks with top level cap are actually made by Pioneer Plastics for Front Runner. Even Front Runner's tank with "fill to the cap" in hot conditions, will have water seep out. Another superb tank made by Pioneer Plastics is the cube-like 25L with recessed cap, thus allowing stacking of two tanks and maximized space utilization in compact areas such as small camper setups or small bush trailers.

I have to comment on John Yazbek's comment. I have used this type water tank in an up-rite position with a pump installed and it served us well inside our camper. I see the point of the cap being on top rather than at an angle, however you can never fill a tank to the top as temperature differentiation as well as height above see level will almost surely cause some spillage.

Bad design

2 issues I have with the design of this tank.
As it is supposed to be designed for standard metal jerry can brackets,
1. It is too small (height). We had to stick 10mm closed cell foam underneath for it to sit firm;
2. The lid position is terrible. We have a Front Runner bracket, which is the most common bracket around, and the lid sits behind the clamp down bracket (which you usually keep padlocked). Now, every time you need to fill with water, you have to undo everything. It should've been set off-centre to the left.
The third is more a suggestion on improvement - the lid being on the side causes a ton of wasted capacity. If it were to be moved to the top you'd make use of the full capacity of the tank.
